At MWC 2025, Lenovo is highlighting a gang of the visionary concept of the PC concept, continuing a 2025 Tech cascade that opened in CES in January. One of these future prototypes is the concept of thought Flip AI PC, a convertible folding laptop of the concept that can turn its screen into a two -sided screen or an ultra -long panel.
I saw this prototype device at a private meeting in New York City before its discovery. While it was clearly in a deeply experimental state and was not currently planned for the retail start, it is an intriguing receipt in the concept of double -screen PC. (Indeed, Lenovo had a manager of products for our appointment which treated the delicate rolling machine he most of the time.)

This rolled and folding laptop joins the solar concepts of Yoga Solar PC and the Thinkbook Magicbay Accessory-Accessory, which we also had with our hands before the show. Check out the video above to see how the flip works, with more details below.
A rolled laptop, folded with two screen
Even more than others, the Thinkbook Flip was clearly in an experimental place when I saw the device. The prototype was functional, but the delicate, and the Lenovo holder had a better understanding of how to follow the functioning procedures that would need ironing if the idea were further developed.

But what is it? Thinkbook Flip He is another taking on a folding screen laptop with a slightly different turn for things. The laptop screen can be unfolded on an 18.1 direct inch panel, making many digital real estate for a relatively small laptop chassis. But the screen can also be folded in half, again at the top of the device, so the “second” screen is faced by someone sitting by you.

When the screen is folded in that way, the screens are divided into two slightly uneven panels, about 12.5 inches on the “A” face and 13 inches on the “B” face. When closed, the laptop stands in a flat position with one screen opposite the inner and the other faces as a “lid”, which would require additional transit protection. (You cannot fold the screen in the next direction.)

The components that are within the flip are not important given that this is an early, retail product. However, if you are curious about what strengthens this system, it is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor (which gives its NPU ready for the system name) and 32 GB of memory. It is also equipped with Thunderbolt 4 ports for the updated connection.

A poor but functional prototype
Twin screen 2024 Lenovo yoga book 9i AND Asus Zenbook Duo (UX8406) Brands adopted with a traditional hinge between their screens, moving away from the hinges behind the Ekran. However, the flip embracing this idea again. (This is easier to see than explain, so watch videos and photos. But the single panel without problems provides some cases of comprehensive use.)
I can somehow see the indentation depends on the panel, when the light grabs it in a certain way, but it should not stain the screen too badly on everyday use. In this prototype, the exchange between the fully elongated “long panel” mode and the “two back-to-back screens” requires an accurate order of operations, emphasizing the need for the device’s expert holder.

It can (relatively) quickly move on to the right order for transition between appearances, which require a combination of touches of equipment and software. A key combination that turns off or on the second screen, an icon of software blocking on the upper edge that dictated if the flip was ready to exchange between ways, and a patient’s hand was needed to operate the device.

These are secondary concerns, of course, as this is not a ready -made market product. Otherwise, I would have a massive wrongdoing to wait for consumers to learn these steps. Flip he PC would need much more running before going on sale. Still, by the end of our session, I was proud to capture most of the steps required to operate the flip and take it in its various ways.

An additional feature is LED touchpad, which we often see in Asus systems. This model adds to the usual double screen configuration as you can control what you are playing where you place custom commands on some of the touch buttons.
Between this feature and comprehensive screen display, Lenovo envisages this device that strengthens hybrid work environments and distant productivity. Maybe we will see the flip or a offspring hit the roads as a current product one day. But for now, enjoy the action of the prototype of the prototype in our images.
